Alpine is a bombyx silk warp dyed with mountainous blue, teal, grey, brown, caramel, and forest greens. The wefts in this piece are tsumugi silk and bourette silk which create a lovely soft yet solid & draping texture! The tail is woven mainly with bright blues, green, and brown blocks creating a beautiful focal point leading to an earthier section of browns and greys up the back and shoulder. Measuring 2.1m + loose fringe on the tail and a raw hem at the shoulder, this piece is ready to become a ring sling or shawl! Do note the electric blue dye used for a couple of the blocks has a reputation for light shedding, so this is best washed alone (better yet, on a short/cool/delicate cycle in a machine!)
